OnlySmack started inside Wolfiz. Our meetings ran on one vendor, our chat on another, our large files on a third and our passwords on a fourth. Each kept a copy of our work in its own cloud, in a country we had never chosen, and none of them could tell us who had seen what.

So we built the workspace we wanted to run ourselves. It lives on our own server, signs people in with the IDs we already use, records to our own storage, sends files from our own bucket and keeps shared credentials out of the chat. Then we used it every day and fixed what annoyed us, release after release.

OnlySmack is for organisations where that matters most: ministries, defence, regulators, banks and hospitals, and anyone else whose conversations carry real consequences.
